Preparing Your-Master

• 5-6 dB of headroom on the master chain (check the loudest section to make sure)

• no clipping individual tracks unless it is an intended decision for certain sonic qualities

• no compression or limiting on the master chain (ideally no plugins at all)

• premaster must be in .wav format

• make sure the normalize feature is turned off when exporting and the sample rate is set to 44100.

• include a reference track for us to compare and master to

• lastly, make notes of anything you’ll want to tell us before we start
